The large print features a "tribal" geometric design surrounding a Chief anchor, with crossed cutlasses behind. Above the Chief anchor are three stars representing Senior Chiefs, Master Chiefs and MCPON. The two most important years to any Chief is shown; 1775 (Navy Birth Year) and 1893, (CPO Birth Year).
