The "Chief Bike" Project
Updated MAR-2008

Please forward this to Chiefs in your area.

From: Chief Bike Project Committee
To: Chief Petty Officer Community

Subject: CHIEF BIKE PROJECT UPDATE

1. The Chief Bike Project was started in 2004. The goal is to raise money to build a Chief Petty Officer themed motorcycle which will be raffled off. All proceeds will be donated to the CPO scholarship fund.

2. It is my pleasure to inform you that the project is nearing completion. Attached is a photo of the Chief Bike with members of the King's Bay CPOA, an artists rendition of the final project, and an example of the design on the back of the new Chief Bike shirts. As you can see, this is going to turn out to be a great success. This project has been successful thus far due to the overwhelming support of you Chiefs , Jeff and his crew at Navychief.com, Keith and Gary at JAX Custom Cycles, The Greater Northwest CPOA (They started it all), and
numerous other fine Chiefs and messes around the globe. With that said, we need to raise about $10,000 to complete the project, and then to raffle the bike.

3. If you wish to contribute to the project, you can either send a donation to "Chief Bike Project", in care of NCC J. D. Maloney at the below address, or you can buy one of the new Chief Bike Shirts available at NavyChief.com. Again, to those of you who have donated time, money or bought a shirt, thank you so much. With PCS transfers, retirements and various other issues, it's taken longer than we thought, but I hope you will not be disappointed. You have all built this bike, and can all share in the pride and satisfaction when it's done. I hope you're all as thrilled as I am to be a part of this.
